What do I do if I have lost a book?

Answer

If you have lost a book (or damaged it beyond repair) we will invoice you for the replacement costs.

You can then pay the invoice, or you can buy a replacement copy yourself which can sometimes work out cheaper.

If the book has been lost in the post, please contact us with your proof of postage (if you have it).

If the book has been stolen, we will waive all charges on production of a crime reference number.

Please don’t ignore the problem.  Contact us as soon as possible and we will be happy to help and discuss your options : library.alerts@staffs.ac.uk
