Q. Can a member of the public use the Library?

Answer

The libraries are open to the public during staffed hours if you wish to browse our resources for reference only.

Members of the public requiring access for academic research purposes, can apply to join the Library as an External Borrower.

Applications must be approved via Letter of introduction from the Head of Library.

External Borrowers borrowing rights

  • 5 items
  • 2 reservations
  • No access to online resources
  • Building access during staffed working hours

Cost £50.00 (£20.00 if unwaged) 

Valid for one year from date of application

You will also need to provide:

  • Proof of identity
  • Digital or passport sized photograph for Library card
