How do I write an annotated bibliography?

An annotated bibliography is a very specific assignment type, only used in a few subject disciplines.  Check Blackboard but if this is the format required the following may help.  The aim is to illustrate the quality and appropriateness of your research.  It is often produced in table or note format and should include:-

  1. Concise summary of the research used
  2. Comments about why and how this information was chosen
  3. A brief critical analysis (annotation) of the research you have used, 
  4. Full bibliographic details in the referencing style of your subject (Harvard, APA, Oscola).
