Logging in (what is athens, ezproxy or Shibboleth)?

The Library uses Shibboleth authentication to allow you to login to our eResources using your Staffordshire University username and password. We use Shibboleth alongside another system called EZProxy. Shibboleth is used as a replacement for Athens authentication.
All Library e-resources now use Single Sign On.
If you are on campus, this means seamless single sign-on with no prompts for a password.
Off campus, or on your own device, you will need to enter your University username and password. This will be in the format username@staff.staffs.ac.uk or username@student.staffs.ac.uk (the same as Office 365).
