If a book you have on loan has not been requested by someone else then you can renew it.

You can renew items in several ways:

  • Log on to your library account through the library catalogue.
  • Using the automated telephone renewals line  01782-294817.
  • Using a self-service machine at one of our libraries.
  • Taking your University ID card, or library card, to a member of staff at Customer Services during staffed library opening hours.

If you have any problems either with your renewals or with your library account, please ring 01782 295770 between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

You can renew most books and two week loan items up to 20 times or until someone else makes a request for them.  You will not be able to renew any items which are marked as short loan (those items which are issued for 24 or 48 hours). If you have any outstanding fines, you must pay these before you are able to renew the items again.
