For students there is always help on hand for IT queries at the Student IT help desks located within the Brindley and Octagon IT Centres and at the Thompson Library.  The staff will offer support on a wide range of queries including help with logging on to the computers, using email, saving work, printing, using the Internet, connecting to the University’s residential network, and using Microsoft Office® applications, e.g. Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, Access® and Outlook®. 

We'll also do our best to help with queries on more specialised subject packages, but if we cannot assist you to the level you require, your tutor or course leader will be able to provide further assistance and advice.

We also offer some IT Clinics covering topics such as OneDrive, email and connecting your own laptop to our network.  Look out for publicity on the next date for these or ask at one of the IT Help Desks. 

You can also come along to the TechLab which takes place in the iLab in the Cadman Building on Wednesday afternoons between 2.00-4.00
